Since 1969, the Men's Garden Club of San Antonio has served the community by fostering garden programs and doing charitable events to support the youth and general garden community

About

The Men's Garden Club of San Antonio is open to all men and women. We have monthly meetings and participate in community events throughout the year such as:

  • San Antonio Home and Garden Show (Spring and Fall)

  • Judging the Regional Science and Engineering Fair at St. Mary's University

  • SAWS Spring Bloom

  • Festival of Flowers

  • Hollywood Park Plant Sale

  • Beck's Tamalada

  • Folk Life Festival

  • April 10,Annual Grotto Fountain Garden weed, plant and mulch, 12 PM-until finished

  • April 13, Saturday. Leave from Grotto at 2 pm for Sylvain Clavieres’ Talking Tree Farm Tour

  • May 4, Children's Garden at Home Depot HWY 281 near Olive Garden and Bitters. 9AM-3PM

  • May 26, Saturday, Festival of Flowers, Austin Hwy Event Center, 1944 Austin Hwy. between Eisenhower and Walzem Rd. 9 am – 5 pm

  • June 15, Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm, Fanick’s Nursery 80th Anniversary

  • June 22, Annual MGCSA Picnic, MacArthur Park

  • August 23, Men’s Garden Club 50th Anniversary Shindig, Details to be announced

  • General Monthly Meetings  (except June, July, Dec) at 7 p.m. on the 1st Thursday of month (usually)

Directions to Meeting Place - Oblate Grotto - Pastoral Center - 5712 Blanco Rd.

From Blanco Road, inside Loop 410, you can access the center by turning at Mt. Sacred Heart Road, go 400 feet, and turn right into the parking lot or turn at the entrance by the Grotto marque on Blanco. both entrances off Blanco lead to a large parking lot in front of the Pastoral Center (Martires Oblate De Espana Pastoral Center) . All members and guests may park anywhere in the lot by the building. The front (north) door by the meeting room is the door we use, do not use the side (west) doors below sign.
